COUNTY FINALS:

Our senior team drew with Tuam Stars in the county final played in Tuam Stadium on Sunday. The final score was Corofin 0-15 to Tuam Stars 2-9. Well done to the team on coming back from the dead with two points in injury time to secure a hard-earned draw.

The replay has been fixed for Tuam Stadium on Sunday 3 November at 2.00 pm.

Congratulations to our Junior A team who defeated Killannin by 2-11 to 1-9 in the County Final played in Pearse Stadium on Saturday. Well done to the management team and players on this great win and on securing promotion to the junior championship for next year.

UNDERAGE:

We play the winners of Tuam Stars and Monivea-Abbey in under 15 football on Sunday.

This Saturday will the final Saturday morning training session for the under 7 and 8 panels. However, from Friday 1 November there will be training on the Astro Turf in Belclare from 6.00 until 7.00 pm.

SYMPATHY:

The club offers its sympathy to the relatives and friends of Fr Frank Mannion, Columban Fathers, Navan, late of Corofin and brother of Kathleen Lovely. Fr Frank was the last remaining survivor of the Corofin senior team which captured the club’s second county title in 1946. We also sympathise with the Kelly family on the death Martina Casey (née Kelly), Ballintubber. May they rest in peace.
