GALWAY FOOTBALLERS:
Galway were defeated by Mayo in round 4 of the football qualifiers on Saturday evening in Limerick. The final score was Galway 1-13 to Mayo 2-13.

Galway minors suffered a 1-point defeat to Mayo after extra-time in Tuam Stadium on Friday evening.

The Connacht under 20 Football Championship final in which Galway play Mayo takes place in Tuam Stadium at 7.30 pm on Wednesday evening. We send best wishes to the team and our club players.

LEAGUE GAMES:
Our seniors return to action when they play Mountbellew-Moylough in the league, division 1 at 12.00 pm in Corofin on Sunday afternoon.

Our intermediate team lost their division 3 league game to Naomh Anna, Leitir Móir by 1-10 to 1-15 played in Corofin on Sunday afternoon.

The Junior A team were given a walkover by Milltown in their game scheduled for Friday evening. As a result, the team top their division with 12 points from 6 games.

The Junior C team play Mountbellew-Moylough in the league, division 8 at 8.00 pm in Mountbellew on Friday evening.

MINORS:
We play Dunmore MacHales in the minor A (North) Championship at 8.00 pm in Corofin on Thursday evening.

UNDERAGE:
Our under 15 team were defeated by Claregalway on a scoreline of 1-8 to 1-13 in division 1 (North) on Friday evening. This team’s next game is away to Monivea-Abbey on Friday evening at 7.00 pm.

Well done to our under 9 and under 10 boys who enjoyed GoGames against Oranmore on Saturday.

LADIES:
Well done Galway ladies footballers who defeated Mayo in the Connacht Final, replay, on a scoreline of Galway 3-7 to Mayo 0-9. Congrats to Galway captain and player of the match, Tracey Leonard, who scored 2-3. Well done also to Roisín Leonard (0-2) and Lisa Coen.
