LOTTO:

CLUB GAMES:
The senior league division 1 game against Milltown was postponed on Saturday due to the inclement weather. The game has been refixed for Milltown this Sunday at 2.00 pm.

Our intermediate team were defeated by Dunmore MacHales in their first game in division 3 of the league played in Corofin on Sunday on a scoreline of 0-10 to 2-12.

The next division 1 and 3 games are scheduled for Saturday 14 March.

GALWAY:
Galway footballers continued their good run in the league with a 1-14 to 1-12 over Meath in Navan on Sunday. Liam Silke, Ronan Steede and Martin Farragher all started for Galway with Ronan scoring 1-1. Darragh Silke made his debut for Galway seniors when he was introduced as a sub late on in the game. Galway’s next game is against Mayo in Pearse Stadium on Sunday 15 March at 2.00 pm.

Galway under-20 footballers play Roscommon in the Connacht final on Saturday in Tuam Stadium with throw in at 2.00 pm.

AWARDS:

The club has been honoured for its achievement in winning a historic third all Ireland senior club title in a row with manager Kevin O’Brien and Kieran Fitzgerald named amongst the Galway People of the Year. The award winners will be honoured at a Gala Banquet and presentation in the Galway Bay Hotel on 21 March. Congratulations to Kevin and Kieran.

The 3rd annual AIB All Ireland club player awards will be announced this week with the presentation ceremony in Croke Park on Friday night.

SOCIAL:
The club All Ireland medal and Junior medal presentation night will take place on Monday 16th March (St Patrick’s eve) in the Claregalway Hotel. Further details later.

UNDERAGE:
Coaching sessions for under 9 and 10 (players born 2011 and 2010) for 2020 will commence on Saturday March 7th from 11.00 am to 12.00 pm in Belclare Astro. They will train at this time each Saturday until the pitches become playable. Remember all players must be registered with Corofin GAA for the 2020 season BEFORE attending any training session or they are not covered under the Players Injury Scheme. Registering is easy, by logging on to www.corofingaa.ie.
