SENIOR:

Our seniors commenced their defence of the Senior County Championship when they defeated Tuam Stars by 1-14 to 0-13. The goal was scored in the first half by Mike Farragher. The game was played in Kenny Park, Athenry on Saturday evening. We play St James’ in our next game which is scheduled for the weekend of June 22/23.

The game against Tuam Stars doubled as a league game, so the win secures two points for Corofin in division 1 and moves them to the top of the table.

INTERMEDIATE:

Our Intermediate team had an excellent win over St Gabriel’s in their first game of the Championship played in Tuam Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The full time score was 5-14 to 0-7. The goals were scored by Brian Raftery (2), Shane Monaghan, Matthew Cooley & Cathal Newell .

GALWAY MINORS:
Well done to the Galway Minor Footballers, who have secured their first win of the 2019 Connacht MFC, defeating Sligo by 0-15 to 1-10, played in Tuam on Friday evening. Their next game is against Mayo in Castlebar on 14 June.
